Description
The Cross-over Coat
At many “gullgubber” from 6-7 c.AD is depicted a coat with a diagonal closing and with wide borders in front and the sleeves. And also, in Hedeby several pieces from a coat like that is found from 9th c.AD. It seems like broken twill and 2/2 twill were used in these coats. Wool. One of the coats in Hedeby also have a lining in wool.
I have made this coat without the border at the bottom edge , but you can add that if you wish.
You can print out this pattern sheet in A4, gather them and sew 😀
